The large number of visitors to this church required the construction of the pilgrimage church of Our Lady as early as 1712. The tall rectangular building, without a separate choir and with narrow cross arms, has unusually low towers. The temporary roofs, which were put on after a fire, cannot be replaced because the church façade was incorporated into the municipal coat of arms. The pilgrimage chapel from 1688 is connected to the penultimate northern nave bay. The high altar from 1700 was acquired in 1885 from the Deutschherrenkirche in Regensburg. The altarpiece is by Oswald Onghers.

Construction of the church building began in 1710, and in 1725 the construction was completed and consecrated in 1726. The flattened towers seem peculiar and unusual.
