The Church of the Redeemer in Lohbrügge is a brick building from 1899 with a 51-meter-high tower, designed by the Hamburg architect Hugo Groothoff (1851-1918).
The neo-Gothic church is a hall church with galleries and follows the style of the so-called Hanoverian School.
A must-see in the Hamburg area is the series of eleven stained-glass windows by Carl de Bouché, the Munich Royal Bavarian Court glass painter.

In 1901, he also created the stained-glass windows for Reinbek's new church.
The last major renovations took place in 1997-2001 and 2009/10.
