Bike Touring Highlight
The airport Hamburg, own name Hamburg Airport, since 2016 also Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt, is the international airport of the city Hamburg (with a small part on Norderstedter area). It is the oldest and fifth largest airport in Germany. In 2017, it was used by around 17.62 million passengers, an increase of 8.6 percent compared to the previous year.
A very nice bike / hiking trail leads along the airport. Unfortunately not continuously but that explains itself. The way leads in Niendorf a piece directly at the Kollau entlag before the way leads to the allotment plants Niendorf / large Borstel. On the other side, the path leads directly through the moor. Insider tip when walking around, a side trip to the Coffee to Fly.
Sniff the scent of the big, wide world, along with a neat hot or cold drink and some of Hamburg's most beautiful sunsets. The Coffee to Fly at the Helmut Schmidt Airport in Hamburg is a real insider tip and a popular meeting place.
The always friendly and very service-oriented team of the Coffee to Fly offers delicious cakes, small snacks and exceptionally tasty multi-faceted coffees from a Hamburg private roasting house as well as original Italian ice cream specialties.
