Café Sibylle is a cult on Karl-Marx-Allee. Here a permanent exhibition tells the story of the "Milchtrinkhalle" opened in 1953. Probably the most bizarre object in the café is the Stalin ear, which is presented in a shrine. Of course not the real one: it comes from the huge statue of Stalin, which until 1961 left its mark on the street scene of Karl-Marx-Allee (then Stalinallee).

Opened in 1953 as a coffee house with the idiosyncratic name "Milchtrinkhalle", very popular from the beginning and named Sibylle since the mid-sixties, the corresponding website: cafe-sibylle.de/historie
