Some years ago I was allowed to play a concert on the stairs with my former music club. That was something special 😀

The Schauspielhaus (from 1821: Royal Playhouse, from 1919: Prussian State Theater, since 1984: Konzerthaus Berlin) is a monument on the Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin's Mitte district. Built by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the years 1818 to 1821, it is one of the main works of German classicism. Burnt out during the Second World War, it was restored from 1976 to 1984 faithfully on the outside and restored in a historicizing form as a concert hall on the inside.
