Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
Nice bike lane in both directions on the Prellerweg under the railway bridges. Despite the wheel lane, you have to be careful. You can tell by the marking that there used to be 2 car lanes and no wheel lane, now it is the wheel lane, one and a "half" car lane. Some drivers do not see here that cyclists want to drive on the beautiful new bike lane and drive on the "half" car lane on the right and thus partly on the bike lane. It's always best to look to the far right and see what's driving behind you. Typical Berlin planning: the bike lane is beautiful, but the way it is designed is quite dangerous. There is a real downhill run here, it just goes down a bit. For a downhill run, you can only recommend the islanders and Sembritzkistraße nearby. You have to be careful, but the Prellerweg with its bike lane is the best connection from Steglitz to Tempelhof.
