Picturesque core city in the Havel. Cafes, fish restaurants and art shops make for a pleasant break.

A bit more time is an advantage: there is not just something to see here. Ice cream and fish soup should be mandatory; But the gastronomy also has much more to offer.

Unfortunately, only a part of our round trip from Ferch to Werder Island is recorded. Start was in Golm. Then it went via Geltow to Caputh. On this section you have to use the ferry (1 € for a person with bicycle). At the ferry is an ideal place to rest. After the crossing, a delicious ice cream to the right of the ferry is a must. The Italian next to it, had eaten well as in a previous tour. From Caputh we went to Ferch, from there to Werder and over the bridge in the north of Werder back to Golm. The entire route leads mainly through nature, side roads and small settlements. Along the water there are always nice places with a view of the lake which invite you to linger. Mostly cycle paths are available. If you are looking for a light and comfortable tour, this is the place for you. Also suitable for children. The island of Werder can be reached via a bridge. With its historic charm very worth seeing. The fish restaurant "Arielle" is located on the opposite side of the island right on the water. The food was very tasty. Here you have the choice between restaurant and takeaway.

You should have seen it! Bissel time is appropriate.

I've always spent a lot of time watching the fish from the bridge, or the grebes, trying to catch them.

Your island Werder as well as Werder itself is always worth a visit by bicycle. On far island itself, the café "the yellow duck" next to the hotel is highly recommended

The bridge over which one has to get to the island of Werder, allows a wonderful view of the Havel.

The "the yellow duck" is worth a visit to the island, as well as the local ice cream shops, as well as the meadow on the Havel which invites you to linger.

Werder has something! I've been there 4 times already (from Bavaria), it will not be the last time.
