The Ithturm was built in 1885 as a wooden tower on the Krüllbrink, the highest point of the Ith (439m). The new stone Ith tower was built from dolomite bricks and was opened on May 16, 1912. The tower is 13.80 m high, the staircase has 63 steps. For visitors, the tower is constantly open, but not managed.

On a section of the long-distance hiking trail E11 (Amsterdam - Masuria [Lithuanian border]) On the Ithkammweg you can enjoy the green-covered (mostly wild garlic) forest floor in the spring with great views, rocks and cliffs. From the tower itself you have a beautiful view over large parts of the Weserbergland.

The Ithturm should not be forgotten during its tours in the Ith. In good weather you have a great view over the north German low mountain range.

The view should not be missed when traveling in the Ith. In good weather you can look far into the country.

The tower is newly renovated and looks again vividly ... The Ithturm is a built in 1912 13.8 m high observation tower on the Ith between Lauenstein and Bisperode in Lower Saxony. He stands on the Lauensteiner head, which is 439 m above sea level. NHN highest elevation of the elongated Ithkamms in the northern part of the ridge called "Krüllbrink". Source Wikipedia ... Fantastic view of the surrounding area. It is worthwhile 👍 in any case

The new stone icy tower, replacing the old wooden tower, on the highest point of the ridge, the Krüllbrink, was inaugurated on May 16, 1912 on Ascension Day. It was built by Fr. Schucht from Bisperode from dolomite stones, which were broken not far in the Ith. The tower is 13.80 m high and the staircase has 63 steps. After the construction of the Ith Tower, a "president" visited the tower, in memory of this visit, the presidential grotto was set up, which is located about 750m to the south on Kammweg.
The tower is always open to visitors and is not managed.

Great view from the tower and great ridge path in the direction of Adam and Eva / Coppenbrügge - narrow path with many stones and root as well as several opportunities to look from cliffs into the valley.

    At the Ith Tower
On the hiking trails you orient yourself uphill and comes to the Krüllbrink called Ithkamm. Here a narrow hiking trail leads directly to the Ith tower or Krüllbrin tower.

In addition to the great view, there are gliders to watch over your own head in good weather. The glider airfield is "directly opposite".

When the weather is fine, you can watch the gliders fly from the airfield as they wind up on the slopes of the Ith.
