A very nicely developed cycle path, on the former route of the "Niddertalbahn" and "Oberwaldbahn". The volcano cycle path has a total length of 94 km. The entire route between Altenstadt and Schlitz has been connected since 2006.
The volcano cycle path is also very popular with skaters and longboarders.
