The Pompejanum is an ideal replica of a Roman villa. It stands on the high banks of the Main in Aschaffenburg and is a replica of a house from Pompeii, the Casa dei Dioscuri, so named after a wall drawing, which was located in the entrance area.

The whole circumference at the main is just nice and calming.

Rest at the Pompejanum in Aschaffenburg. A wonderful view over to Aschaffenburg Castle and on Main and Spessart. Worth it extremely.
The visit of Pompeii is fun. Looking into another world / culture.
Bavaria's King Ludwig I had the villa built on a historical model. Destroyed during World War II, the Pompejanum was rebuilt. It's worth a visit. The architecture and the preserved and restored frescoes are impressive.
