very narrow spiral staircase, wonderful view

When the tower was built in 1889, one should have had all-round visibility. Nowadays, the view into the Rhine valley is blocked by trees. But to the east and northwest you can see well.

Strenuous climb up to the tower - as Kauai has already written, the tall trees rob a better view.

Good rest stop, in good distance the Brug Trifels is watching. But the view in the vicinity is limited by the tall trees around.

Small observation tower on the southern slope of the Blättersberg. The tower itself I found more impressive than the view.

The trees mostly take the view from the tower.

The Ludwigsturm is a 15 meter high observation tower made of sandstone on the southern flank of the summit plateau of the Blättersberg in the Haardt, the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest at an altitude of 604.9 m above sea level. NHN [1]. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Rietburg in the district of Rhodt under Rietburg and was built in 1889 by the beautification club Edenkoben. Impressive structure. Unfortunately, the outlook and foresight is very limited by the trees.

Still a little higher than the Schänzelturm. You can enjoy the beautiful view over the Palatinate Forest.
