This fountain was donated by Johanna Stahl in 1990 in memory of the Pforzheim manufacturer and steel engraver Ferdinand Stahl. It is therefore known as the Ferdinand Stahl Fountain, but is also popularly known as the "Goldsmiths' Fountain". The monumental fountain head with two goldsmiths working on the board was created in 1992 by the sculptor Karl Ulrich Nuß
