In the beginning it is a bit bumpy, but after about 2 km the track is well paved. Super nice view of the lake. Unfortunately there is a lot going on at midday. Even cars are getting more and more towards Starnberg on the track. In the morning, I can imagine that with the road bike on the track can really give gas without being hindered. All in all, despite the super nice route.

Worthwhile only at times when no other cyclists and visitors are traveling. But the way is the better!

At Föhn there are fantastic views into the Alps and over to Hohenpeissenberg.

You can drive close to the lake over large parts. But at the weekend it is very busy, so better during the week or in the evening.

I found the eastern shore extremely boring. With the road bike, the track is not completely passable and the busy traffic allows only a "comfortable" progress.

Great place to take a break and relax.

Always a pleasure! Those who have time and leisure can really enjoy this section when the sun is shining and the temperatures are pleasant. Otherwise, this section of the track quickly becomes a torment when driving on PB (Personal Best), because everything is on the road which has legs and you have to drive slalom, so to speak. I cycled the section from Ambach to Leoni.

  • Nice, but max. 25km / h if you want to be considerate of others.
