With 65 ha, the Schwemm is the largest contiguous moor area in North Tyrol. The variety of wetlands makes the Natura 2000 area, which has existed since 2003, a natural gem. For example, 33 species of about 70 dragonflies in North Tyrol can be found in the Schwemm. It is therefore an important goal to preserve this moor landscape with its unique species of animals and plants!
A lookout tower near the Moarwirt enables visitors to experience the moor. Observing rare animal and plant species or taking part in a journey of discovery into the fascinating world of "Schwemm" with our moor experts are unforgettable experiences.
