280 wooden steps lead up to the most beautiful place in Austria. Until 2008, the Kaisertal was the last high valley without a car access and it was only accessible for its residents on foot.

Today, a car tunnel leads up to residents and landlords. Hikers still have to take the stairs. But you will be all the more rewarded with a brilliant view when you have completed the first part!

When you have reached the steps you can easily reach the huts in the valley.

Exhausting ascent to the Kaisertal - but worth it :-)

Already on the stairs you have a good chance to spot animal mountain dwellers above you on the slopes. You should be careful in winter, but the strewn path is often smooth.
