Mountain Biking Highlight
The Strausbergalpe lies at an altitude of 1227 m, above the Strausbergmoos, framed by the Imberger Horn, Strausbergsattel, Gernkopf and Sonthofner Hörnle. The Alpe was first mentioned historically in 1663 and then led as "Roßberg". In 1900 the property passed to Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria. On the beautiful terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains, you can fortify yourself with organic milk, organic milk products and beverages, as well as hearty regional snacks and daily fresh cakes from the wood-burning oven. It's worth a stop.

Since 2003, the Alpe is privately owned. For almost 50 years, already in the third generation, the Behalung and hospitality of the Alpe is done by us, the family Buhl from Sonthofen-Winkel. In 2001, we switched the agriculture in the valley, as well as the entire Alpe to organic farming (Bioland). During the summer, 30 young cattle, two cows, three pigs, five sheep and two donkeys from our valley farm are allowed on the alp.On the beautiful terrace overlooking the Hindelanger via ferrata, Rotspitze and Nebelhorn our visitors can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery while the children let off steam in the small playground and get to know the alpine animals. In rainy weather we have a cozy room.
