The climb over the Sperrbachtobel is steep, stony and due to flowing streams on the wall side, in some cases a little damp. Difficult or slightly more exposed areas are insured by steel cables.
In the past, too, the Tobel was blocked in the spring by considerable amounts of old snow and avalanches, which probably led to its original naming. Even today still must be expected in the Sperrbachtobel during the mountain spring long time with old snow remains. It is not uncommon to be greeted by marmots on the now more pleasant ascent.
At the end of June, there were still considerable amounts of old snow here. There were always snow bridges to be crossed. The path was marked by muddy sections with flagpoles, as the original path was not yet visible.
There were also many exposed areas due to landslides, small waterfalls directly on the way provided refreshment.
Variety was guaranteed. It is best to go early in the morning when the mud is still frozen.
