Crystal clear mountain lake in breathtaking scenery. Lush green meadows line the shore and directly above the gray mountains of the Allgäu tower. Not only at the first sight of the lake will you be awestruck.

If you are really brave, you will jump into the cold water yourself after your ascent to Rappensee - due to the altitude, the lake is still quite cool even on warm summer days.

It is located in a carmine, which is dominated by the mountains Rappenkopf (2276 m), High Primate Head (2424 m), Rappenseekopf, Hochgundspitze (2460 m), Rotgundspitze (2485 m) and Linkerskopf (2459 m).
