Schweinfurter Hütte

The Schweinfurter Hütte has just been renovated in 2017 and now meets all the requirements of a modern mountain hut.

The hut has 16 beds in rooms and 36 places in the mattress dormitory. In winter, the Schweinfurter Hütte is open from February to the end of April and in summer from mid-June to early October.

Great food and great landlady!

Very unfriendly hostess and staff. Wanted in the evening to wine for our group (17 people) order a snack plate. Hostess said, after 20 o'clock there is nothing more. In the spaghetti Bolognese about 3g meat were to be found. Food tasted very much like ready meals. Not to compare with the food at the Westfalenhaus or Winneseebachhütte, where first-class cooking is done with fresh ingredients and the hosts are very hospitable.

Even in winter a beautifully located hut with delicious curd cheese strudel ... unfortunately a bit shady, the sun only comes in the morning and afternoon ...
