The hut was built by private hands in 1928 and bought in 1932 by DOeAV section Kurmark, founded in Berlin in 1913. After dissolution of this section 1945 took over 1949 the section Berlin the hut. In 1993 she came to the section Otterfing, which began a comprehensive modernization. In 1997, a photovoltaic system for generating electricity, and a solar thermal system for the production of warm water was installed.

The hut can be reached via a steep ascent of Innerberg in about 2.5 hours. The hospitality is great, the food was great. If you want to hike the Berlin mountain trail, you can also stay here.

The smallest hut on the Berliner Höhenweg, very nice young hut team, great food (cheese press dumplings😍).
Relatively small sleeping camp which we found pleasant, there is only cold water and an outdoor shower with a view.
Unfortunately, there was no drying room in 2019, so the shoes remained soaking wet.
