The bowl is accessible from two cantons on foot. On the one hand from the canton of Bern, on the other hand from the canton of Lucerne. Extensive, varied and well marked hiking trails are characteristic features of the Napf area. Neither car races nor cable cars lead to the cup. Once at the summit, you can enjoy the Bernese Alps in a unique beauty. On a clear day you can see the Jura, looks beyond the Lucerne hinterland and can see the Aargau.
The most popular and shortest car access opportunities are from the Bern region in Mettlenalp. From the Lucerne region in the Ei, Wiggernhütte, Holzwegen, Bramboden and the Niederänzi.
Top Restaurant? Many see that differently .... They are usually very unfriendly and inflexible. I would recommend the view to enjoy and then stop in the Stächelegg. Since they are really friendly, the view is great and no matter if dry meat, cheese, smoked sausages - everything was delicious!
