The Oude Sint-Martinuskerk is a former church building in the East Flemish city of Ronse, located on Sint-Martensplein. The history of the church certainly began in the mid-11th century, when the chapter of Ronse founded two auxiliary churches, St. Peter's Church in the north and St. Hermes' Church in the south. Nothing has been preserved of the old St. Martin's Church, next to St. Hermes, built in the 11th century. What you can still see is the multi-sided tower that was built in the 15th century. The building is currently no longer used as a church.

Nothing has survived of the old Saint Martin's Church, which was built in the 11th century. Only the polygonal tower built in the 15th century is now a silent witness to the medieval period.
The attached church (now De Passage) dates from 1829 and has not been used for worship since the end of that century.
Food and drink are central to the beautifully restored old nave 'De Passage'. In the company of the Poppy cow, enjoy the old stained glass windows and the passage.

The old St. Martin's Church is in the immediate vicinity of the St. Hermes Church. This church was built in several stages of construction, was finally desecrated and then used as a sawmill, cinema and auto repair shop. A patron from Ronse bought the old St. Martin's Church and had it completely restored and redesigned. The church became the "passage" - a meeting place for foodies with shops, pubs and restaurants.
