Situated in the densely forested Hochtaunus ridge, southeast of Arnoldshain-Hegewiese in Schmitten im Taunus, Hesse, Germany, this historical site stands at an elevation of 678 meters. The Roman fort is interesting to look at and you can imagine what it was like back then. Unfortunately, they are overgrown at the moment so that you do not have a completely unobstructed view, but it is still worth visiting.

When you step into the castle, you can still see the foundation walls and the division of the individual rooms.

There is not much to see except the foundations. The most interesting is the information board.

Although this is not particularly productive ... But it is worthwhile from here, in the direction of Saalburg, continue to hike on the "Limes Adventure Trail"!
