The S-Bahn station is located in the extreme south of the Halensee district on the Hohenzollern Bridge.
The station building is designed like a residential building based on the surrounding buildings. It was built in the style of the beginning modern with elements of Art Nouveau.
The station was built between 1908 and 1910 to develop the new residential quarters on Hohenzollerndamm. The opening took place on November 1, 1910. Since November 6, 1928, the stop has been served by the electric suburban trains, from which the S-Bahn emerged in 1930.

Train station on the Ringbahn line, which has been complete again since June 15, 2002. 1908-10 by Heinrich Theising. Main building and separate gable-decorated access to the lower platform; both covered with shell limestone. The unusual reception building is integrated into a residential building. In keeping with its name, the station building was particularly lavishly decorated. A Prussian eagle was originally attached to the facade. A mosaic from the entrance area now adorns the facade of a retirement home at Koenigsallee 15 in the Grunewald villa colony.
