Gammelgården is a valuable local history museum with collections of objects and houses from the municipality of Svärdsjö.
The local local history association organizes many events, including the Midsummer Festival with the installation of the Midsummer Stång (Midsummer pillar). In 2025, 560 Swedes in traditional costumes and approximately 3,000 other people participated in the Midsummer Festival. The beautifully painted houses 🤗 are open to the public, at least during the events. In the Nygård couple's house, you can visit a magnificent room whose ceiling and walls are richly decorated by the first grand master of the Dalmålarna painters.
