The fortified church in Neuendorf is one of the oldest fieldstone churches in the region. It dates from the second half of the 13th century.
In the southeast corner of the church, in an opening in the adjoining wall, there is a checkerboard stone with a diamond pattern.

The typical gothic hall church to "Nyendorp" (Neuendorf) was built in the 2nd half of the 13th century from field and bricks. With a length of 24m, a width of 11m and a wall thickness of about 1.10 m, the fortified church offered the inhabitants of Neuendorf protection against attackers. The altar of the church dates back to the late Renaissance and was, like the existing tower, created at the beginning of the 17th century.

This old Gothic hall church from the 13th century is definitely worth a detour. surrounded by a small park, it is in a quiet place. It is 24 m long 11 m wide and has a wall thickness of 1.1 m !!! Unfortunately it was closed. Visits can be carried out after consultation with the association. It is best to inform them via the website wehrkirche.de.
