If you're coming from the Desert and dared to take the "short route," you'll surely have walked down unless you have a mountain bike and good technique. And if you've descended La Palma and Cerro de San Miguel, you'll already have the momentum to get here.
If you're going to Ajusco or the Desert, you know you can rest here to recharge your batteries and climb up.
