Even if the bike is really good for your legs (at least without e), you shouldn't miss a visit to the ruin. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the landscape, from Kranj to Ljubljana and beyond. There are several ways to get to the summit on foot. Nice circular hikes can also be planned. If you want to take it easy (but not your car), you can drive to the parking lot almost at the top. However, the driveway is very narrow and steep.

The ascent by bike to the castle is a bit difficult, but is rewarded with a fantastic view. At the foot of the castle there is a nice little kiosk with tables and benches. There is cake, ice cream, coffee etc.

A trip to the castle is suitable for all seasons - in winter for catching the sun's rays and watching the snow-capped Alps in the distance, but in summer it is a welcome cooling off due to its higher location and shady path.
