The gardens of the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos in Córdoba are one of the most impressive sights in the city. The gardens impress with their long pools, fountains and elaborate water features that reflect a Moorish heritage. Orange and lemon trees, palm trees, cypresses and a variety of flowers grow here, which are in full bloom depending on the season. In addition to the impressive landscape, there are numerous statues, including a famous sculpture group of Christopher Columbus with the Catholic Monarchs (Isabella I and Ferdinand II), who are said to have received him in this palace.

The gardens are particularly magical in the evening hours, when the lighting bathes the water features and plants in a fairytale atmosphere. A must for every visitor to Córdoba!
