This mountain hiking trail is a little hiking gem. It starts at the car park by the cable car, behind which the hiking trail begins, which is well marked (red) throughout. The whole route offers great landscapes and views of the greater Athens area. Nature is still relatively intact here (in contrast to many other areas in the Parnithas National Park) and hiking here is simply fun. The path is very rocky and steep but not particularly difficult to hike. However, surefootedness and sturdy shoes are a must. With around 800 meters of altitude to overcome, you will definitely work up a sweat. If you run out of energy on the way up, you can later take the cable car back to the casino. A stop at the Bafi hut will reward your efforts with a great view.
