    Only used by recreational captains. Goods handling and crab fishing no longer play a role. But still very nice to look at. There are numerous, very good restaurants all around.

    It is also interesting that the boats are dry at low tide. So don't forget to fold in the sword. A friend had once moored her boat so that it hung in the air at low tide.

        The Tönning Waterways and Shipping Authority (WSA Tönning) is a waterways and shipping authority in Germany. It is part of the department of the General Directorate for Waterways and Shipping, formerly the Waterways and Shipping Directorate North.

                              Through a Stöpe (culvert) you reach the port of Tönnings, which has repeatedly been of great importance for the city and the entire landscape throughout its history. Dug in its current form in 1613, it provided berth for the ships that brought Eiderstedt's agricultural surplus to Western Europe. The harbor has been preserved in its previous form to this day and is still considered the home port of the Tönninger shrimp fishing boats, the service ships of the Waterways and Shipping Office and many pleasure boats.
