The blight lizard (Gallotia galloti), also called the Western Canary Islands Lizard, is an endemism of the islands of Tenerife, also present in La Palma, which has three distinct subspecies:
Gallotia galloti galloti in the center and south-southwest of Tenerife.
Gallotia galloti eisentrauti in the north and northwest of the same island.
Gallotia galloti insulanagae in Roque de Fuera, on the North coast of Anaga, also in Tenerife.
Gallotia galloti palmae, on La Palma.
In addition to the Gallotia galloti, the Gallotia caesaris, present in La Gomera and El Hierro, is sometimes called "blight lizard".
