The gardens are perfectly maintained and resemble exactly the paintings Monet painted in his garden. In fact, the entire hamlet of Giverny will remind you of the paintings of the famous Impressionist.

The area is quite touristy, so it's best to arrive early in the morning to enjoy the gardens and the Claude Monet Foundation in peace.

A true pilgrimage for impressionism fans. The gardens and the house of Claude Monet are an absolute highlight. The gardens are well maintained and look just like the pictures Monet painted in his garden. This includes his last work, the water lily cycle, which you can admire in the Orangerie in Paris.

Important tip: try to be there as early as possible, so that you are in the gardens before the day trippers from Paris and then go first of all to the garden south of the street (underpass). There stands the famous Japanese bridge, surrounded by the weeping willows.
