Nice stopover on the gravel tour along the east coast. Shark Bay is completely developed for tourism and is full of street vendors selling imported knick-knacks. If you want, you can rent flip-flops for €1 and walk to the sharks. But you can also do without them. The sharks are lured with the help of dead fish and are definitely an impressive encounter. The mother sharks that used to cruise within sight have been scared away by the hustle and bustle and have retreated further into the open sea.
