The Arneda's flow is painful, the Darnius Boadella reservoir, located in Catalonia, Spain, is fed mainly by the Muga and Arnera rivers. The main objective of this reservoir is to guarantee the supply of water for agricultural and urban use in the region, to prevent floods caused by the Muga River, and to generate hydroelectric energy. It was inaugurated in 1969 and has a capacity of 60 hm³. The dam is located in the municipality of Darnius and extends throughout the municipalities of San Lorenzo de la Muga, Terradas and Massanet de Cabrenys.
