Small beach in the old town of L'Escala, which was once used as a fishing port. Despite its small size, it has numerous services and has access ramps for people with mobility problems.
Port d'en Perris beach, surrounded by rocky outcrops, is located in the old neighborhood of L'Escala. Formerly, it was used as a port.
It is barely 40 meters long and is composed of coarse-grained sand mixed with small stones. It has showers, umbrella rental, a beach bar and a platform in the middle of the water. There are ramps to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility. Numerous bars and restaurants can be found around the beach.
It is flanked by two tongues of land: La Punta, to the left, and La Punta de l'Olla, to the right. Near the beach you can see the Dona del Pescador monument, the work of Francesc Xavier Vila, which represents a woman with two children in her arms looking at the horizon. On the esplanade of La Punta, which years ago was used to spread fishermen's nets and today has been converted into a parking lot, there is a monument to the Gent del Mar, the work of Josep Maria Simon.
The coastal area that extends to the right and leads to Riells beach is known as El Codolar. It is a rocky area with some small corners of sand, like in Cala Contraban.
