It was built in 2018 for the filming of the TV series based on Guzeli Yakhina's novel Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes. At the end of the process, they decided not to dismantle the scenery, and Semruk became a local landmark. Wooden houses stand on the high bank of the Kama, which played the role of the Angara in the film - episodes about the difficult life of Zuleikha and other dispossessed peasants in the Siberian taiga were filmed here.
