The Bornheim church is dedicated to Saint Servatius. Exact biographical data on his person are not known, he is said to have been born in Armenia at the beginning of the 4th century and died around 384 in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Probably in 340 he became Bishop of Tongeren.
Servatius is one of the three so-called "ice saints" in popular piety, together with Pankratius and Bonifatius (in some areas supplemented by "Cold Sophie" one day later). The feast day of Saint Servatius in the calendar of saints is May 13th.

Are there specific public transport options to reach St. Servatius Church and nearby trails?
