Several hundred years ago, on December 3rd, 1661, a tragedy took place at this location that was so far-reaching that the von Kotzau family subsequently became extinct. In the dispute over a promise of marriage, there was an exchange of words between Mr. von Koßeritz from Meißen and Wolf Christian von Kotzau, where Wolf Christoph von Kotzau attacked Mr. von Koßeritz and both ultimately stabbed each other with their swords, so that one was there, the other fell down - stayed dead ”.
