A nice destination for a day trip, which you can also reach from Germany by walking across the Inn Bridge. The tower is open all day and costs €2 per person. There is an elevator and stairs. The floor at the top is only a transparent metal grid, which might be a problem for those sensitive to heights. Otherwise, there are beautiful views all around.

The newly built observation tower in the historic Obernberg am Inn castle area is full of symbolic meaning: Built on the edge of the site, which already forms a striking elevation above the Inn, it rises 26 m high into the air where defense towers used to stand. Today, however, we want to invite you to look beyond national borders. From the viewing plateau, visitors can let their eyes wander from the Bohemian Forest to Salzburg and Berchtesgadener Land. To the east, on nice days, you can see as far as the Totes Gebirge.
