Following the GR 247 path you will arrive at the port of Tíscar. This port separates the rugged landscapes full of pine forests from a more humanized environment.

As a curiosity, Tíscar means "pass between mountains" in the Berber language.

The port of Tíscar is 1,198 meters above sea level, with a length of influence of 25 kilometers between the towns of Quesada and Pozo Alcón and five kilometers from the village of Tíscar. While you walk through it, you can enjoy a spectacular, rugged and rugged landscape with valleys of heavily populated pine forests. On the road there is a crossroads with a detour to the source of the Guadalquivir.

Once the maximum level is reached, the landscape allows you to see mountains, hills and towns in the distance belonging to the provinces of Jaén and Granada.
