The Padangsche Spaarbank Building in the Old City of Padang is a two-story Dutch colonial heritage building in neo-classical style and with art-deco architecture. In the 1990s and some years later the building accommodated the Hotel Batang Arau, which was operated as a Boutique Hotel under international management.
Despite being shaken by the earthquake on 30th September 2009 the building still stands but it is abandoned and neglected.
