Quite unusual to find a Buddhist Temple in such a location, but there it is! According to Samye Ling's website, the Buddhist centre here was founded in 1967, and was the first Tibetan Buddhist Centre to be established in the West.

You can visit for free all year round; there is also the Tea Room, and even overnight accommodation, should you like to stay the night at a special place such as this!
