Narciarstwo biegowe

Simply a cross-country ski trail on the former railway line between Altenau and Clausthal-Zellerfeld. From Altenau it's mainly uphill over two viaducts. In Clausthal-Zellerfeld you can stop off at a restaurant. The return route is therefore mainly downhill.

Two sections of the former railway line from Langelsheim via Clausthal-Zellerfeld to Altenau have been converted into a cycle path. This southeastern section runs for 7 km on a gentle gradient with beautiful views through the middle part of the Upper Harz mountain range. Despite the somewhat rough surface, it is easy to ride except in snow and ice. For more information, see achim-bartoschek.de/bahn_ni.htm#ni3
