    The church of San Clemente, also known as the abbey of San Clemente al Vomano, is located in the territory of Guardia Vomano, not far from Notaresco. The construction dates back to the 9th century. and according to legend it was Ermengarde, daughter of Ludovico II, who ordered its foundation. A monastery (no longer existing) was also built together with the church, occupied by Benedictine friars.
