The old town hall in the town center was built around 1800 as the town hall and community bakery. The school was housed here until 1822. In the late 19th century a fire station was also added here... and in 1914 a cattle scale was added!

Right next to it there is an old village well. Today, a stainless steel sculpture showing a blacksmith points to the tradition of the iron-working craft in the Taunus village. Source: Wikipedia.

Very nice old town hall that was built in 1800. It was also used as a bakery and school. It was renovated by the village renewal program.

The building was built around 1800 as a town hall and community bakery and also served as a school for a time. The clock in the town hall tower was installed in 1952. As part of the village renewal in 2005-2006, the building was extensively renovated and the structural timber framing on the upper floor was exposed - today the local history museum is located there.
