Around Kolo is the world heritage site of the Kondoa petroglyphs. In various, distributed places in the hills well-preserved paintings from different epochs are to be visited. The oldest drawings are probably older than 1500 years.
At the Visitor Center in Kolo you can get information, pay admission to the sites, and book guides and transportation close to the drawings. Then on foot in the hills to the paintings.
