Colon Ludwig Meyer built this house in 1886. In the large front door there are wrought iron bars, on the left side of which there is an oval with the initials LM and on the right side an oval with the year 1886.

Ludwig Meyer was a member of the Prussian state parliament at the time. It is said that Meyer's regular stays in Berlin and Potsdam (and his knowledge of the palace and residence architecture there) inspired him to build this representative palace. The house is said to still be owned by Meyer's family today, only the family name has changed through marriages.
