    Such a salt lake is always an eye-catcher. Interesting that Cyprus no longer "harvests" salt itself but imports it. But this is how the flamingos have their peace in winter;)

    From the middle of November to the beginning of April you can watch flamingos in the salt lake in Larnaka. Depending on the season, the lakes around the airport have different faces: in spring full of water, in late summer (in some years completely) dried out, coated with a pink salt crust.
