    Whitney is a lovely little village on the banks of the River Wye. It is excellent walker's territory, with Herefordshire's rolling hills on its doorsteps and the famous Offa's Dyke Path a short way to the west.

    The Boat Inn's riverside garden is a great place for refreshment in summer. You might even get lucky and spot one of the Wye's inhabitant otters. Accommodation can be sought here, as well as at a couple of nearby glamping establishments.
